Posted on November 14, 2017

The Republic of Fiji has been hosting the COP23 gathering in Bonn, Germany.

COP23 is the 23rd annual Conference of the Parties to the 1992 United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change.  It is a gathering of the world’s leading minds approaching the issues of climate change.

The Republic of Fiji took over the Presidency this year (as it rotates).   Prime Minister Bainimarama opened the conference with a speech, and set the goal of 100% renewable energy for Fiji by 2030.   The Fijian government has also put forward a robust set of plans and projects specifically targeting climate issues.

For more information about the conference, speeches, and coordinated defense of our planet against climate change, here is a link to the conference’s site and materials.   http://www.cop23.com.fj

We are proud to see Fijians at the forefront of the fight for their future, and we will continue to assist with climate challenge focused projects in the future.
